“Curia Julia” Rare Silver Roman Imperatorial Denarius (18.7mm, 3.42g.) The Triumvirs. Octavian, Rome mint, struck 30-29 B.C. References: CRI 421; RIC I 266; RSC 122; BMCRE 631 = BMCRR Rome 4358; BN 52-5. The construction of the Curia Julia, the new senate house, began under Julius Caesar in 44 B.C. It was completed and dedicated by Octavian on 28 August 29 B.C.
